Life or Something Like It

Life SHOULD NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well- preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally WORN out and screaming "WOO HOO - WHAT A RIDE!!!"

Drawing Down the Moon

So I decided to enjoy my children today. After I took the big kids their lunches I thought, why don't we go feed the ducks? So I took Ryan and Cheyenne to feed the ducks at Papago Park. We went right to the place where Royce and I got married. We fed all kinds of ducks, even Geese, and just looked at things. We even found a duck egg. One that was rejected and left, don't worry. Its neat though. Brought it home to show Syd. The kids just ran, and looked at the water falls and the ducks, and we even saw a crane. Its delicious to hear kids squeal. Like when they run into a flock of birds and make them fly. Ryan had to climb a pile of rocks and had to pick up mud and fling it. And of course he had to step in mud, and step in the water. He is all boy. Just watching them throw leaves and sticks into the water and watch it flow downstream. It really was delicious. So much better than housework.

Nikki, I got home and found your package in the mail. I love it. I put it on right away. I can't believe it, cause someone at work, someone I don't even know, gave me a book bag with that same symbol on it. I wrote about it a long time ago. It was weird, cause she is a friend of Heather's, I spoke to her only one time. But she felt she needed to give me this bag and a chakra charm, and she gave them to Heather to give to me. I carry all my books in it. I didn't know what the symbol meant. But I loved it. And now you have sent me the same thing. Its around my neck right now. I had a hard time reading your card. I started tearing up. I love you. I'm even keeping the little piece of paper that it came on.

Thank you so much. Miles mean nothing to us. Nothing. They never will.
