Life or Something Like It

Life SHOULD NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well- preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally WORN out and screaming "WOO HOO - WHAT A RIDE!!!"

This is an incredible story. You've got to see the video. Its of the actual rescue.

From the Associated Press this morning:

• 'Miracle' babyJan. 29: Local residents pluck a plastic bag from the water in Brazil, only to discover a newborn inside still alive.

This story REALLY moved me. How could someone do that to a little baby?! When we lived in Texas, a little Mexican baby was found in a black plastic trash bag in the middle of the highway. She was only a day old. It's a miracle she survived! First of all- that she wasn't run over by a car. Secondly that she didn't dehydrate or die of heat stroke in the hot Texas sun. Her little fingernails were long enough that as she cried she had torn the bag in a couple places. Someone saw the bag moving, stopped and to their shock there was a sweaty, hungry, screaming little baby inside. I wonder what ever happened to her?

Can you imagine Chy Chy dumped in a bag somewhere?? I would have to kill someone. I was checking you blog to see if you posted and i just had to go check all the kids again. Then there was a gun battle near the house again, one set of shots behind the house, one set at the end of the alley by the pizza place as best I could tell. Had to go check on the kids again, called 911, 30 minutes later a patrol car drove past the pizza joint, our taxes at work......any way love you see you saturday morning.
