Life or Something Like It

Life SHOULD NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well- preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally WORN out and screaming "WOO HOO - WHAT A RIDE!!!"

Undecided again.

I think maybe I have found a way to compromise.

Compromise is good.

Sometimes you just have to sit back a moment.......and breathe.

I've been gone, at the beach with my family. I loved the water and longed for the peace I was supposed to have...but couldn't find any.
God, I never want kids. I know it's not something you or anyone that has kids can really get because you have that unselfish part of you and you are able to handle it when you want to scream "STOP ASKING IF I SEE THE FUCKING THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE I SEE IT, IT JUST KNOCKED OVER THE JUICE ONTO MY BOOK!!!"
Sorry. Yeah, I love my family. But I will never again share rooms with them on a "vacation". One of the good things was finding the store that sold me a little blue bottle that said "Bombay Sapphire" on it.
Kudos to everyone that is willing to have, raise, feed and parent children. There are plenty that don't do much past the "have" part and I choose to not even go there. Oh, and I know that all parents have the days when they want to yell at the kids and sometimes they do, it's not that I think you don't, it's just that I thought I was going to lose my mind if I heard the "precious" screams of my not yet 1 yr old nephew trying to get attention along with the tantrums of my 4 year old nephew. best birth control ever. Period.
OK, about YOU. Talk out the decision with your family. Don't go if it's just because you feel guilty now that your mom's living alone. Maybe she likes living alone. I dunno. But, especially after just having a loss in your life, don't make a big decision like moving again. Check the market and see if you can get some good money on the house, or at least get rent from someone, you shouldn't have to pay for 2 places. Take your time with the decisions. Look at the pros and cons, which you are it seems like, and give this new space a chance. I think at least try for a year, you've lived the majority of your life in Phoenix and that might be right, but it is good to look at other possibilities.
Have you watched Six Feet Under? If you have the chance, rent it, it's on DVD. You'd like it.
Listen to your soul, listen to your family.
I think it would be a bad decision to move back again, but I am not you, so my opinion should (just like anyone who isn't you, your husband or your kids) count for 0%.
You'll make the right choice for you.
Meantime, love you and by the way, you need to visit the Pacific Northwest so you can go to the beach - you will love it. I know Royce would agree with me

That's right- just breathe....

Give yourself a little time to grieve and think things over.

Can Royce do school online? I think I missed what he wants to take. Oh yeah, well I guess they don't offer 'Underwater Basketweaving' online yet. Oh Shucks...
